I was hanging out at 60 Main St.: A Community Store in Phoenicia last Tuesday, discussing Zen Sex with Alan Fliegel — that’s the book he’s reading — when Robert Burke Warren (a.k.a. Uncle Rock) walked in with five more copies of Punk 365, the coffee table book by his wife, Holly. Robert saw a Harmony guitar, and begin singing Jerry Leiber songs (he died the day before): "Stand By Me," "Hound Dog." Then Katie Legnini walked in with an ice cream cone, and soon the three of us were performing a killer folk-Disco version of "Love Train":
People all over the world,
Join hands,
Start a love train, love train…
— complete with choreography. Perfect post-earthquake (and pre-flood) music!
