Only College of its Kind Offers Support and Relevant Education to Military Service Members
Ecotech Institute has recently been named to the 2013 Military Friendly Schools® list. The annual list recognizes the top 15 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools that do the most to embrace America’s military service members, veterans and spouses as students and ensure their success on campus. Now in its fourth year, the list was compiled through extensive research and a data-driven survey of more than 12,000 VA-approved schools nationwide by Victory Media, a media entity for military personnel transitioning into civilian life.
Ecotech Institute is honored to be named as one of the elite Military Friendly Schools in the country,” said Mike Betz, General Manager of Military Student Initiatives at Education Corporation of America, Ecotech’s parent company. “We want the best for all of our students and strive to make each of their educational experiences as positive as it can be.”
Through its Military Student Center, the school offers a go-to resource for military personnel looking to pursue an education in renewable energy and provides assistance in planning their educational experience as well as explaining benefits offered by Ecotech.
“With this Center, we ensure individualized assistance to our nation’s most deserving heroes. We consider ourselves privileged to have the opportunity to help channel their military training into a promising career in the area of clean technology,” added Betz.
People qualified for inclusion in Ecotech’s military programs include active-duty members serving in any of the branches of the U.S. Armed Forces, retired military, guardsmen, reservist military personnel and anyone eligible for U.S. government veteran benefits. Military-friendly benefits offered at Ecotech Institute include tuition assistance and the Post 9/11 G.I. Bill. As a member of the Service members Opportunity Colleges Consortium (SOC), Ecotech follows the American Council for Education (ACE) Guide for recommendations for the award of transfer credit for military training and/or experience.
