Ecotech Institute to Host Open House with Guest Speaker Scott Charter from Green Grid Partners

Ecotech Institute, the first and only college focused entirely on preparing America’s workforce for careers in renewable energy and sustainability, today announced it will host a public event on Wednesday, December 7 from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. where people can listen to a guest speaker, take a tour and meet students and faculty.  The student appreciation event and open house will feature Scott Charter, co-founder and managing partner of Green Grid Partners (GGP Energy), to discuss the booming green industry and how to prepare for careers in the cleantech sector.

GGP Energy is a global distributor of energy efficiency technology for commercial building systems. It provides custom energy solutions to companies ranging from small commercial enterprises to multinational organizations.  Because of his deep industry knowledge, Scott Charter was recently asked to serve on a local board of advisors for Ecotech Institute.

“Ecotech’s relationship with industry leaders and their willingness to talk to students is an important element of our education,” said Michael Seifert, president of Ecotech Institute. “We are thrilled to have Scott share knowledgeable insight into where sustainable jobs and growth are headed.”
