Jammu, December 15 (Scoop News) –Minister for Education, Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed has said that the government is endeavoring to achieve hundred per cent literacy in the State, which he said is perquisite for all round development, adding that revolutionary steps taken by the government is yielding better results under education sector.

The Minister said that the private educational institution is also playing a pivotal role for imparting education to the students of the State and called upon private school managements to ensure free education to poor students in their institutions.
He said the Centre is providing sufficient funds to the State for upgradation education facilities in the State. He said infrastructure upgradation and setting up of new educational institutions besides upgradation of existing one’s is on under centrally sponsored schemes like SSA and RMSA across the State.
