Former Democratic Senator John Edwards of North Carolina has that he is not interested of running for VP again. John Edwards was the final opponent of Senator John Kerry of Massachusetts back in the 2004 US Presidential elections. Edwards had lost to Kerry. In turn, Edwards became Kerry’s running-mate.
Before the Democratic contest was between Senator Hillary Clinton of New York and now presumed Democratic nominee Senator Barack Obama of Illinois, Edwards was the final opponent. Edwards had dropped out before the Super Tuesday contests on February 5.
To the Spanish newspapers: El Mundo and El Pais, Edwards said that he had the chance to be VP running mate back in 2004. But, Edwards said that he would not be doing it again.
Edwards’ name was thrown up as a possible running-mate in the past for Obama. But, he said that continue throwing support behind Obama. He also weighed on in the possibility of a “dream-ticket” between Obama and Clinton. Edwards said that the VP choice is up to Obama.
