Eid Gathering
CHITRAL: The people of Chitral are celebrating Eid-ul-Azha today with religious fervor and zeal by slaughtering animals in the name of Allah following the Sunnah of Prophet Hazrat Ibrahim (AS).
The people sacrifice animals including cow, goat and sheep according to their purchasing power on any of the three days of Eid.
Eid prayers offered in different locations. In Chitral town Eid prayer arranged almost in all Jamai Masjids including Shahi Masjid, Bazar Masjid, Jang Bazar etc. In Ayun the largest gathering was observed in the central Eid gah.
According to sources the largest gathering in the district was the one in Murad Stadium Drosh where almost 80 percent people from this second largest town of Chitral, gathered to offer Eid Prayer.
