Jammu, December 17 (Scoop News) –Member National Executive Dr. Nirmal Singh today said that planned "Ekta Sankalp Rally" on December 24 at Parade Ground should not be seen as exclusively BJP’s rally but is a rally of all those people, who are nationalists, do not agree with what Omar Abdullah said recently in assembly, oppose repeated discrimination, delay in delimitation, rehabilitation of militants, want to do away with Article-370 and advocate complete integration of the state with democratic secular India.
Addressing media persons in Jammu Dr. Nirmal Singh extended his appeal to all the people of state through media to participate in the maha rally to register their protest against divisive and anti-national forces. He added that national office bearers of BJP are going to hold meeting on 23rd December at Hotel Ashok, Jammu to register its disapproval of the recent utterances of Omar Abdullah and those of the interlocutors as also reaffirm its commitment and support to the nationalist people of the state.
Dr. Nirmal Singh also came down heavily on the Congress UPA and its coalition partners in the state who talk of loosening the ties of the state with the rest of the country. Lauding the new trend all over the world of lowering barriers for over all fuller development of human beings, he termed the protagonists of the autonomy, self-rule and Azadi as anti-progressive and narrow minded people. Citing the recent instance of NC Cabinet Minister Ali Mohd. Sagar’s laying the floral wreath at the samadi of Brig. Rajinder Singh in a manner showing his disrespect for the legendry saviour of Kashmir is indicative of the ideological and political ambience which is un-nationalist and disintegrative.
Dr. Singh said that if UPA and its friends have any trace of public good in its heart, it should ensure full implementation of 73rd and 74th Panchayati Raj amendment and hold delimitation of the constituencies of the state.
Citing the recent attempts to control the voice of fourth pillar of democracy, the media, Dr. Singh said that a Jammu based English Daily is being targeted for not following the dictates of the government. He demanded that government should refrain from making attempts to silent the voice of media and rather it should encourage all such newspapers which raise the voice of masses and promote the national cause in the state.
State General Secretary Sat Sharma, who has been bestowed with the responsibility of the management of December 23 meeting, told that the national office bearers, CMs/Dy.CMs and Presidents of Morcha will participate in it.
