New cabinet of DBA elected.
Syed Iftikhar Hussain Jan advocate elected President of District Bar Association.
CHITRAL: During annual election of District Bar Association (DBA) Chitral Syed Iftikhar Hussain Jan advocate of Sweer Drosh was elected as president of DBA by securing 34 votes while his rival contester former president Khurshid Hussain Mughul secured only 31 votes, similarly Fida Ahmad javed elected as vice president by securing 36 votes and Muhammad Azeem Baig his rival got only 3 votes, Tanweer Usman elected as Genera Secretary with 35 votes and Ghulam Hazrat Inqilabi secured only 30 votes while Masood Azad was elected unopposed. The election was held under supervision of Hameed Ahmad Advocate care taker president of DBA Chitral.
House damaged by avalanche at Chniar village.
House of Master Rahmat Aziz resident of Chinar village of Tehsil Mastuj was hit by a heavy avalanche damaging the households. Hence no human loss was reported until filling of this report.
