Election Tribunal Dir declared UC Nazim on merit.
CHITRAL: Election Tribunal Local Government District Chitral at Dir issued Decree in favor of Sohrab Khan Nazim Union Council Sheshikoh Drosh of Chitral district. Former Nazim of the same UC Sher Muhammad who was rival candidate of Sohrab Khan had filed a case against Sohrab Khan alleging him for casting fake votes and conspiracy in election. The case was under trial for a period of 2 years and 3 months at the court of Election Tribunal (Senior Civil Judge Dir) Manzoor Qadir who dismissed the petition of Sher Muhammad and issued decree in favor of Sohrab Khan. It is worth to mention here that Sohrab Khan has received 1685 votes while Sher Muhammad 1652 votes in UC Sheshi koh election. Sahib Nadir Khan Advocate, Jihangir Khan and Ikramullah Advocate presented on behalf of Sohrab Khan while Hakeem Advocate presented on behalf of Sher Muhammad. Residents of the area highly appreciated this verdict of Election Tribunal which was deiced on justice and merit.
