Islamabad: Pakistan president Asif Ali Zaradri told the media that elimination of terrorism is not only Pakistan’s responsibility, all the countries in the collation should play their role properly.
British foreign secretary, David Miliband is touring Pakistan these days and he met the Pakistan president and in a joint briefing, Asif Ali Zardari also added that Pakistan has suffered enough in this war on terror, and rendered great sacrifices but there are more demands from the US that Pakistan is not doing enough and Pakistan has lost more troops that any other country in the coalitions forces stationed in Afghanistan.
Moreover, President Zardari made it clear to the west and US, that the pilotless drone attacks, that are made from Afghanistan by the US, they are only helping the Taliban and the war on terror is losing the Pakistan public’s support and more sympathies for Taliban and insurgents, so the targets that have been focused in the war, could not be achieved unless the drone attacks are stopped by US.
Nowadays, anger could be seen in the civil society, army, judiciary, and politicians about these drone attacks and many protests rallies were taken out in the major cities of Pakistan, and the people have chanted slogans against US and condemned the killing of the civilians from the tribal areas of Pakistan.
