A health Staff alleged Accounts section for drawing his GP Fund with fake signature.
CHITRAL: A junior technician working at Basic Health Unit Brep (Yarkhun Valley) alleged that two officials working at EDO Health office namely Riaz and Jamalud Din Senior clerks have drawn a huge amount from his General Provident Fund (GP Fund) account with my fake signature. In his written statement he disclosed that he submitted application for drawing of GP Fund advance on 29th December 2008 but it was revealed that rupees 103000 has already been drawn from his GP Fund account in the year 2006 but he has not received this amount. He said that an other embezzlement case also has been unearthed in health department in which some staff were convicted. He also submitted application to Anti Corruption department in present case for taking action and appeal high ups of health department for conducing inquiry and taking action against the accused staff for recovery of his amount.
Meanwhile our correspondent visited EDO Health office and sought version of the accused persons. They said that Ali Aman junior technician has submitted an application for GP Fund advance on 8.7.2006 which was forwarded to DCO Chitral for approval and who approved his application. They said that Ali Aman has drawn rupees 100000 as GP Fund advance in Dec, 2008 and rupees 65000 in Oct, 2002. After proper approval of his GP Fund advance request he was paid the required amount after deducting rupees 23000 as his previous arrears. They said that an departmental inquiry also has been conducted where Dr. Rahmat Aman Deputy DHO was assigned as Inquiry Officer who also submitted his inquiry report that Ali Aman has drawn his GP Fund advance. His specimen signatures has been forwarded to concern laboratory for verification they added.
NCCB Chitral anticipates IRC, Asia foundation and walji travel Islamabad
CHITRAL: Northern Citizen Community Board held a meeting in a local hotel Chitral. A large number of board members, different stakeholders, journalists and civil society representatives from valley Yarkhoon to Laspur attended the meeting. The proceeding of the meeting commenced with recitation from the holy Quran and Shahzada Ibrahim Pirzada presided over the meeting.
Ibrahim Pirzada highlighted the progress of the organization and its future plan. On the occasion the board members separately thanked the IRC, Asia Foundation and Walji Travel for their contribution made to the NCCB in 2008. The speakers said that IRC Islamabad donated computers, printers and stabilizers for official use and Asia foundation contributed around 300 foreign books to the organization resource centre and encouraged for future continuity. They also thanked his good self Iqbal Walji head of the Walji Travel Islamabad for his contribution and made a payment for the transportation of equipments and books form Islamabad to Chitral.
At the end the Board Members said that Sara chairman Hashoo Foundation had encouraged the NCCB in 2007 and had accepted the proposal to support the organization in the near future but since then their collaboration and assistance is still awaited by the NCCB.
