Today, a regional Danish television station broadcasted the first proof of the existence of a system, in which those employees, responsible for granting sick or jobless people an allowance, are getting bonuses for not doing so.
In 2013 Rebild Kommune paid 171.000 DK as personal bonuses. 111.000 DK was paid for stopping to pay the sick; for every case they could close above their target of 10, they got paid 1500 DK. The rest was paid to those employees who succeeded in having a person work for free in some company; a construction in which it is actually the company profiting from the social welfare – getting a labourer for free – and not the labourer. It rarely results in workers getting a permanent job in such a company; of course the company rather shifts from one to the other, having free labour all the time, than offering permanent jobs.
This system of bonuses is very likely the explanation for what happened in the case of the man who didn’t get his job, see my article here: https://groundreport.com/slavery-in-danmark/
Many Danes have been wondering, why the problem arose in the past years, that suddenly sick people were being diagnosed by non-medicals, and declared fit for work by them. There have been cases in the media, where this policy had life-threathening consequences. It is of course totally against the law, yet it happens frequently and there seems to be no way to stop it; individuals who go through the long, long way of complaints and courts, might get their right after years….but with no consequences that are of any help to others, so the practice continues.
It is a crying shame, that people lifes and health are subject to a system of bonuses….
