Illegal Encroachment removing drive completed. Dozen cabins, shops, hotel were removed from School road.
CHITRAL: The district administration of Chitral launched an illegal encroachment removing campaign in which dozen of cabins, shops and hotel as well as greengrocer cabins removed with tractor in presence of heavy number of local police. The encroachment removing drive was started from PIA square to Shahi Masjid at by pass road and in front of Government Centennial Model high School where some people had constructed illegal shops and cabins on school property. The district administration under supervision of a Tehsildar and in presence of huge number of local police removed all these illegal encroachments with tractor blade and widened the road. Talking to this scribe an officer supervising this operation told that the district admin had already issued notice of removing their encroachment to owners of cabins, shops and greengrocer shops and hotels voluntarily but they were not ready to do so as a result the district administration took this step and removed illegal encroachments. This encroachments removing drive was completed successfully and peacefully as no agitation or reaction was registered. Social and political circle of Chitral hailed this step of district administration and appreciated them for removing these encroachments to widen the road to minimize accident changes.
