Encroachment issues between trade Union and district administration settled.

CHITRALL: Encroachment removing issues was settled with mutual understanding between the trade union of Chitral and district administration. On the directive of Osama Ahmad Waraich Deputy Commissioner Chitral the district administration had kicked encroachment removing drive in Shahi Bazar of Chitral. Some members of trade union protested against this step by district administration and sit in as protest at main road.
Former Tehsil Nazim Sartaj Ahmad Khan, district Nazim Maghfirat Shah, Tehsil Nazim Maulana Muhammad Ilyas and others played a role of mediator and through mediation and table talk this burning issue was settled. According to a memorandum of understanding MOU between the district administration and trade union the district administration will not remove any encroachment behind the drainage on both sides of road.
Hence the shopkeepers will remove their extra portion and will arrange of footpath for customers in front of their shops. In this connection a function was also held at PIA square under the chair of district Nazim Maghfirat Shah where president trade union Habib Hussain Mughal and other spoke. They appreciated the mediators who settled this issue through dialogues with a peaceful way.
DC Chitral emphasized on shopkeepers to cooperate the district administration for removing illegal encroachment as well as to take back their shops for leaving place for pedestal and their customers. He said that there would be less accidents if the roads were widened. People of Chitral also shower flowers on the arrival of DC to Shahi Bazar and thanked him for solving this issue.
District Nazim Maghfirat Shah demanded for conducting inquiry in Abdul Wali Khan By pass road to acquire the actual land which was purchased by government. As well as for removing of encroachment of other parts of Chitral.
Meanwhile residents of Chitral appreciated this step taken by newly arrived DC Chitral for expansion of road because there was no footpath for pedestal and mostly people were walk on main road. After removing verandas and extra gates of shops now the road is wide and people can walk easily.
