End of Musharraf Dictatorship in Pakistan

President. Parvez Musharraf in his address to the nation resigned from his office on Monday. He has said that even if he defeats the charge sheet against him at the floor of the national assembly tension will prevail between parliament and the presidency, andto avoid confrontation between both he has decided to resign from office. He has advised the ruling coalition to avoid confrontation and shall work for the development of Pakistan.

 

In his address to the nation he had mentioned in detail the achievements made in nine years of his rule and has thanked armed forces, bureaucracy, politicians and his staff for their cooperation, he has also thanked the people of Pakistan for their love and cooperation during nine years of his rule.
