NWFP Minister for Population Welfare, Saleem Khan has welcomed the resolution passed by the National Assembly regarding Nizam-e-Adl
Regulations 2009 to be enforced in Malakand Division and its further endorsement by the President and has termed it very much in line with democratic and parliamentary practices and traditions.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday, Saleem Khan has said that the parliament has reflected the aspirations and wishes of the people of Malakand for which members of the parliament, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani deserve appreciation and congratulation.
Saleem Khan said that the government had played its due role according to the promise it had made to introduce Adl Regulations in Malakand Division and now it is the duty of Tehrik –e- Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and TNSM to play their role for restoration of peace in the region so that the government could initiate rehabilitation and developmental work in the region.
While congratulating the people of Malakand for the approval of the Adl Regulations 2009, Saleem Khan expressed the hope that it would prove a milestone in restoration of peace, elimination of extremism and provision of quick justice to the people in the region.
