CHITRAL: Enrollment of students (girls & boys) in government schools would be increased to cent percent said Siraj Muhammad Khan district education officer male. He said that although Chitral has rich literacy ratio in our province but still we have to improve our education system and to get quality education not quantity one. Addressing a press conference Siraj Muhammad Khan DEO, Rashid Atiq District Program Manager of universal primary education , Muhammad Afzal General Manager National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) and Assistant Education Officer Shahzad Ahmad said that we will kick campaign for increasing enrollment in our state running education institution especially at primary level. They said that all heads of schools were directed to award for excellence performance upto 25 April. For this purpose meetings will be called at each village and union council level with politicians and elites of the area to convince them for onward motivation of parents to must send their children to government schools. An education walk also held and banners and posters will be pasted on each school. DEO said that some 25 posts of principals and headmasters are lying vacant in different schools so how can we achieve our target of improving quality education and increasing literacy ratio. He said that parents teachers council will be activated and PTC meeting will be called for this purposes as well as people will be aware through banners, posters and education walk in the district. He said that we get our target of 15% increasing in enrollment and hopefully it will be increased to 25% nex year.
