In near future there is going to be an increased demand for energy.This has , prompted the US government to develop standards for implementation across the building industry.
These include ASHRAE 90.1,LEED ,EPACT 2004 and IECC acts.
Energy Consumption and utilization will be monitored and regulated as per these standards.
One of the suggested solution is the replacement of Incandescent lamps with retrofit or standard CFLs(Compact Fluroscent Lamps).
CFLs consume 60% less energy as compared to a regular General
services lamp.
CFLs have to be Energy Star approved to be used in residential premises.
Chinese make CFLs are available at very competitive rate.
