The EOD Warrior Foundation is hosting a Golf Classic in Sunland, Calif. This Inaugural West Coast EOD Classic Golf Tournament is scheduled for July 16, 2016. The tournament takes place at the Angeles National Golf Club, located at 9401 Foothill Blvd. The entry fee is $150 per person, with all proceeds of the tournament supporting the organization’s mission of helping EOD warriors and their families.
“We are thrilled to host our first ever golf tournament on the West Coast and bring people together for a day of golf, while raising funds for our important cause,” explains Nicole Motsek, executive director of the EOD Warrior Foundation. “It’s the first time we will have a golf tournament in California and we are hopeful to make this an annual event. This is an event that is going to be monumental and are honored by the outpouring of support from LAPD’s Bomb Squad and our title sponsor, The Rothman Brecher Agency.”
The event will honor the lives of EOD warriors, including USMC EOD Warrior Joshua “JJ” Cullins, who is a prior member of the LAPD Bomb Squad.
“The tournament is for a cause we can all feel good about getting behind,” added Motsek.
Check-in time for the golf tournament begins at noon, with a shotgun start at 2:00 pm. Those registering for the event have the option of adding lunch for only $10. The $150 entry fee includes the players cart rental, green fees, and gift bag. There is also a reception following the tournament.
