EU Delegation Visits Ongoing projects funding by EU

CHITRAL: European Union (EU) delegation visited different ongoing schemes, projects at Chitral under their financial support. Ms Saadia Ainuddin, Development Advisor Human Resource Development EU along TUSDEC team visited Hashoo Foundation’s Human Development Resource Development Center in district Chitral.
Faiz Muhammad, Program Manager were present along with his, Amir Hussain, Director Programs and Javaid Akhtar, Senior Regional Program Manager (SRPM) of Hashoo Foundation along with Shams Uddin, Program Manager HF Regional office Chitral inspected Waiter and font office receptionists classes.
The purpose of the visit was to monitor the classes of receptionist (front office) and waiter trade, which HF has undertaken in district Chitral for the first through the financial and technical support of the European Union (EU) with Technology Upgradation and Skill Development Company (TUSDEC) as country partner.
The overarching objective of this 3-month skill development initiative is to create employment opportunities for youths from disadvantaged family background. HF Human Development Resource Center (HDRC) has enrolled as many as 100 trainees for the trade of receptionist and waiter.
The mission visited the classes of receptionist and waiter and had an interaction with students of both trades asking their purpose of attending the classes. In their response, the students informed that there is huge potential of hospitality industry in district Chitral after the Lowari tunnel will be functional in one and a half years’ time.
The students also showed practical demonstration of how to ensure high quality services to guests being received at hotel or office reception.
Talking to this scribe Missa Saadia said that EU supporting people of backward areas to enable them for gaining their livelihood with local contents. While Faiz Muhammad Said that they guiding youth in skill and technology sector and they will success to gain opportunities of jobs.
