Former Indonesian president Suharto, who had been in hospital for more than three weeks, has died.
Doctors pronounced Suharto dead after he lapsed into a coma today. Eighty-six year old — Suharto — was rushed to hospital on January 4-with heart, lung and kidney problems.
He has been in a critical condition for much of that time although his health has fluctuated daily.
Earlier doctors told a news conference that Suharto had suffered from multiple organ failure.
