The Nepal Electric Authority (NEA) is about to cut power supply to the palaces and residences of former monarch of Nepal King Gyanandra and his relatives for failing to pay the electricity bill. The NEC has given him a deadline of 15 days, starting from October 17 where if he fails to pay the bill, the Institution would be compelled to cut off his and his relatives power supply. According to the NEC, the unpaid bill of the monarch and his relatives amounts to Nrs. 77.7 million in total that also includes a fine of Nrs 12.5 million. The NEC during the king’s regime made arrangement of generators to ensure round the clock power supply to the palaces. The list of this relatives include former princesses Shova, Dilasa, Sitashma, Helen, Bharati, Pooja, Jyotsana Devi Basnet, and Late former Queen grandmother Ishwori Rajya laxmi .
