Ex- Service Man association seek 25% Out Door Medical Allowance.
CHITRAL: Ex-service man association comprising over retired persons from Pakistan Army held a peaceful Rally and public meeting. The rally was started from Ataleeq Square passing through different markets and roads and ended at Town Hall Chitral where it converted into a public meeting. The rally was leading by Col (retired) Sardar Muhammad and Sub Amanullah. They also carrying banners inspiring the message for approval of 25% Out door Medical allowance to retired persons of Pakistan Army. Addressing to participants of Association of retired persons the speakers said that Chitral is a very remote and far away district spreading on 14850 square KM and a retired person can reach to Chitral town within 3 to 5 days from Broghul valley how he can go to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Peshawar or Rawalpindi. They said that in case they approach to CMH Peshawar they get only a few tablets of disprine but spent more than 10000 fare. They said that some of retired persons are old age, sick and widows of Army martyred personal it is not possible for them to approach CMH Peshawar. They demanded for granting them 25% Out Door Medical Allowance to enable them for their treatment at their door. They demanded that out door Medical Allowance may be granted to them with effect from 1st July 2010. They also reveal that only 1 percent people have approached to CMH Peshawar for treatment. A large number of retired military persons from the entire district participated in Rally and public meeting.
