Most people in this world today has experienced some sort of sleep paralysis. Sleep paralysis can be a very simple experience or it can be a terrifying experience. There are many theories out there about what causes sleep paralysis. Some say that attacking aliens are culprit while others say the culprit is an "old hag" who sits on an unsuspecting sleeper’s chest. When they wake, they realize they are powerless to move. Another sought out explanation is that they believe it is the work of the devil and his demon minions. All of these are questionable theories considering they have no scientific basis to support them.
Sleep paralysis is a condition where someone is about to fall asleep or just barely waking up, when they realize they are unable to move or speak but can still breathe and see. Some experiences are only temporary paralysis where the individual regains mobility within a minute. The other scenario is a little more disturbing. When an individual realizes he is paralyzed he begins to hallucinate. They report hearing, seeing, and sensing that other people or beings are in the room with them while they are paralyzed. They also begin to hear such noises like voices, footsteps and a loud buzzing noise. They sometimes feel crushed, smothered, or pushed into their beds. Out of body experiences are frequently reported as well sometimes.
