Names different but the activities are similar. The only goal is to erase the name India from the World Map. It is None other than SIMI(Students Islamic Movement of India) which was banned in 2001 for its anti-national activities.
Now, a security agency report reveals that Simi has grown their roots deeper in the Society in the last seven years,setting up bases in many states, especially in southern India.
Blasts in Bangalore and Ahmedabad on two consecutive days show Simi’s strength. For the last few years, the Simi cadre has been a valuable help to the jihadis.
The latest Intelligence inputs reveal Simi had floated a dozen front organisations to collect funds and carry out attacks. In the two states struck by terror now, Simi was working using banners called Khizentul Kutubul Islamia (Karnataka) and Juhapura Youth Federation(Gujarat).
In Delhi,Simi is trying to implement its subversive agenda in the garb of a front organisation named the Students Welfare Trust(SWI).
Security agencies have been able to locate at least 24 such organisations in the sourthern states that are affliated to Simi.

- Naujawan-e-Islam
In the last two years, According to the figures available with government agencies, almost 93 Simi activists with alleged terror links have been arrested allss over the country.
