Extremists are targeting CD shops in Kohat district of NWFP Pakistan

 

“Near KDA gate number one a remote control bomb was planted in a CD shop by unknown persons today on Wednesday 26-9-2007, a citizen has sighted the bomb soon after Aftari in the evening and had informed Rescue 15 police Kohat, with the help of bomb disposal squad police has removed the bomb from CD shop and blasted it on road before KDA gate number one, District Coordination Officer was also present at this occasion, Kohat peshawer road was completely blocked, ambulances were gathered at the trouble spot, when bomb disposal squad was busy in its task for one hour finally it has succeeded to remove the planted bomb in CD shop and to explode it on the road,  at 8:30pm. The bomb when planted in CD shop was connected with wires, experts say that it was remote control bomb,” Rescue 15 police Kohat officials have confirmed this event.

“In Togh village of Kohat two CD shops are damaged due to powerful bomb explosion occurred around two o’clock between the night of Friday and Saturday,” Councilor Bashir Khan has said, he has further added that buildings in Paracha colony were rocked with the bomb explosion. “A car has passed near the  CD shops of Togh village and then bomb explosion took place, it seems that people riding the car were having remote control of the bomb, the scene was witnessed by a pedestrian present in that area,” an ex Army serviceman and a public transport Suzuki vehicle driver has said.
