Fall colors Garden of Autumn

Exhibition of fall color garden. Sensitization session on role of Civil Society in Biodiversity Conservation.

CHITRAL: To sensitize general public regarding conservation of Biodiversity as well as to create awareness among the local community regarding fall autumn color and beauty of autumn a scenic exhibition of selected photos of Autumn season of Chitral and Gilgit Baltistan was held here in a local hotel. Prominent photographer and pride of performance award holder Karim Jan of Gilgit exhibited his photos of different Gardens of the region in Autumn season of fall color gardens.  The function was jointly organized by Sarhad Rural Support Program (SRSP), Sarhad Conservation Network (SCN) and Botany Department University of Peshawar. Saleem Shah regional Program Manager from SRSP, Dr. Adil Zarif from SCN and Professor Dr. Abul Rashid from Botany Department Peshawar University briefed the participants about the different colors of Autumn season and conservation of Biodiversity and its importance for human healthy life. Professor Dr. Abdul Rashid highlighted importance of tree and forest for human life he said that there are more than 100 types of species in the world and every one have its own importance. Prominent photographer and president awarded Karim Jan of Gilgit showed beautiful pictures with slide show which were highly appreciated by the participants who took keen interest in these attractive and very rare photographs. Miss Rizwana Khan Assistant manager Capacity development Civil Society Resource Center of Aga Khan Foundation, Chinese Engineer and Mineral Expert   Mr. Chin Chan and Mr. Chin Wam, their colleague Ghulam Hussain Gilgit and other participated especially and spoke on the occasion. They said that Chitral have rich potential of different trees and colorful plants especially colorful leaves of these trunks in autumn season attract tourists on national and international level. They stressed upon the participants to must care and protect these species, plants and trees from devastation because they are more important for friendly environment as well as to promote eco-tourism by promoting such gardens of fall color gardens in Autumn.
