The truth shall set me free. I decided to release this information so as to advise people not to believe the article published by Zimdiaspora titled,
“Anti-Gukurahundi activist survives abduction attempt in Bulawayo.”
I have an IRN (Incident Record Number) 2660 -10 on this issue. I am kindly asking anyone who disputes what I am going to explain below to contact Bulawayo Central police and check if a report number 2660 -10 was filed on Saturday 10 April 2010 under my instructions.
I read in shock the article on Zimdiaspora by Admore Tshuma which a colleague just emailed me. The article which is spreading unsubstantiated claims states that,
“An outspoken Zimbabwean journalist and anti-Gukurahundi activist Zenzele Ndebele has survived an abduction attempt in Bulawayo after he was confronted by two strangers in dark suits and glasses, The Zim Diaspora can reveal.”
Admore Tshuma and Zimdiaspora in as far as I am against ZANUPF and CIO, the two men who approached Zenzele are not Mugabe’s CIO’s.They were also not wearing glasses but suits only. I just contacted one of them to establish the truth in this matter. He confirmed they were wearing suits yes but no glasses. The issue also has nothing to do with Zenzele’s gukurahundi film but it is about my gukurahundi song. We don’t have to exaggerate some of these things to gain international support or PUBLIC PITY .If Zenzele had agreed to remain calm he would have seen the text message I sent to one of the men concerning the issue and what case I was filing. That message was supposed to be shown to Ndebele and I had also instructed the men to give me a missed called so I can call back and talk to Zenzele as soon as they meet him. Unfortunately he panicked and ran away only to conclude that it was Mugabe’s CIO‘s who were after him because of his gukurahundi film.I feel sorry that Mugabe’s CIO’s are being implicated in an issue that doesn’t concern them.
Please Zimbabwe journalists investigate or make sure you have the correct information before publishing stories. Mugabe’s CIO’s have nothing to do with Zenzele’s Bulawayo ordeal. It is very disturbing that at times people just choose to come to wrong conclusions for reasons best known to them. This is the same problem that has seen us get to where we are now with Zenzele and company who have to decided to falsely conclude that my song supports Mugabe’s gukurahundi.
The point is .Zenzele Ndebele did not survive an abduction attempt in Bulawayo. It was not ZANUPF CIO’s who grabbed him.
Why I am saying so.
For exposing my ‘real name’ and terrorising me on facebook because I wrote a song on gukurahundi which they have since given new lyrics to pursue their agenda ,I said enough is enough with Zenzele Ndebele and his other abusive gukurahundi extremists. I have since reported one of them Shalton Yotham Ngwenya to British police.
Last week I then called a policeman in Harare to have him connect me with Bulawayo Central police station since I was finding it difficult to connect to Bulawayo central police station.
My intention.
To file charges against Zenzele Ndebele for terrorising me on facebook and threatening me by exposing my secured ‘real name’ on face book so as to put my life and my relatives’ life in extreme danger.
Why the war against me.
The self proclaimed gukurahundi activists have convinced themselves that my song gukurahundi glorifies Mugabe’s gukurahudi so they have every right to terrorise and threaten me. Do they have the right to threaten and terrorise me? NO. Ok it is their choice to conclude what they have concluded about my song but I have my choices too .To report their criminal behaviour to the rightful authorities.
After explaining the issue to the policeman and that I was out of Zimbabwe he felt sorry for me and he offered that he and another police officer would go on my behalf to Bulawayo and report the issue on my behalf out of working hours. A good Samaritan he was .So I gave him Zenzele Ndebele’s cell phone number which is 011 638 916.I got to know of this number through Zenzele who gave it to me when I called to help him publicise his gukurahundi film.
Even though Zenzele has chosen to dispute that I helped him publicise and market his gukurahundi film I don’t know how I got to know his cell number and how his white dvd written MY WEDDING in red on top got to my place. Only shows that he has another agenda. We agreed that I was helping him to publicise his work as he said he couldn’t upload it on the internet due to slow internet connection in Zimbabwe. I took it upon myself to have him post it to me at my expense but he has since said I did not do that in good faith even though the emails we exchanged at that time prove that he is not telling the truth.
I don’t know how a certain Nqobile Ndlovu the guy Zenzele Ndebele referred to me to discuss how I can get the film to him came to know that I have Zenzele’s gukurahundi film here. I then used media file to upload the film to Ndhlovu after which I uploaded the film on my website for Zenzele to refer those who wanted to watch it. We agreed on email that I use my website as platform to have him spread his good work .I have his emails and Nqobile Ndlovu thanking me for the love shown and help given.
So I then agreed with the policeman that he should phone Zenzele and explain to him that they will be travelling to Bulawayo to help me file charges. I also explained to the policeman that he should ask Zenzele that they meet and then proceed with him to Bulawayo central since the matter has to be reported in his presence. I couldn’t tell Zenzele about this development since he has blocked me from communicating with him directly.
I also explained to the police officer that he should tell Zenzele that he has been sent by me.The police officer then asked how he will know Zenzele .I told him Zenzele had done a short film on gukuraundi and that he should ask him in order to verify that he was talking to the right Zenzele. He later called Zenzele to make an appointment. Zenzele went on to write on face book that he had received a call from a stranger in the message below,
Zenzele Ndebele (message is on the messages well wishers are sending to me)
“I just got a call from a stranger who refused to tell me what, he wants and where he comes form and he wants to meet me tomorrow.I hope its not Viomak and her tricks. i will go and i will update you when i come back.Of course i will take some people along.”
So on Saturday 10 April the good Samaritans travelled to Bulawayo and they contacted Zenzele. Between 2.00pm and 6.00pm I contacted the officer to check if they had met Zenzele. He told me they had proceeded to the police on their own since Zenzele had run away. Coincidentally when I phoned, a police officer based at Bulawayo police station was already writing a report on this issue. I personally spoke to him as he asked for my ID number and address and I personally asked him if there was a clause in Zimbabwe that makes internet insults, threats, terrorism a crime .He said yes it is there after which he asked me to sent to him all the comments written by Zenzele so they can establish the nature of the crime.
I then spoke to the officers from Harare who advised that I should call back to get the IR number of which I did. Yes Zenzele wrote on facebook after the ordeal and said,
“Guys it was scary. When I met the guys, one of them said he wanted to know about my Gukurahundi film. I told him it’s in the public domain and it’s not new. The conversation was not getting any where .One of the called me and said "come see this message in my phone". I refused and he tried to grab me by my hand. When he missed me I run for dear life”.
I am not very sure how Zenzele was approached since he wrote that it was scary. There could have been a misunderstanding but then whatever transpired has nothing to do with Mugabe’s men in glasses or Zenzele’s gukurahundi film.
MDC leaders may you please advise the senior member of the MDC in Bulawayo where Zenzele is said to have reported this case and let him know that it was not a kidnap attempt. I can give him the number to call the officers from Harare to confirm this or they can check the IR number with Bulawayo central police.
ZANUPF AND MUGABE ARE OUT OF THIS.
I’m sure Mugabe‘s CIO’s can easily catch up with Zenzele if they are convinced he is worth their energy and time.
