DETROIT- Fanchon Stinger, anchor for FOX 2 news here has been placed on paid administrative leave for her financial connection to Synagro Technologies Inc. Synagro is currently under FBI investigation for what is believed to be a crooked, multi-million dollar sludge contract with the city of Detroit.
Fanchon Stinger has worked at FOX 2 since 1997 and is currently the co-host of the station’s morning news program. Stinger is under fire for accepting money from Synagro as a PR representative and for placing media ads supporting Synagro’s contract bid.
FOX 2 is investigating Fanchon Stinger’s involvement with the Synagro contract before they make any decisive action.
