Farmer turns saviour of 1500 lives.
It is a chilling cold morning due to winter season in India. Still we can’t avoid our daily works to carry out.Manjunath a 21 year old young farmer did the same. He had to go out to feed his bullocks early in the morning around 6am.But who knows he can be a saviour of 1500 lives in that morning. God might have sent him to do that task at that moment. On 25th Nov 2007 Sunday morning he was running on the tracks waving his shirt yelling and shouting at the train to stop which was running on the railway tracks at Bankadakatte near Ajjampura, Chikmagalur of Karnataka, India. He ran almost one kilometer to stop the train shouting at the driver frantically to stop it. Train driver could sense some thing fishy but thought he might be crazy. He did not stop shouting until the train is stopped. The driver and commuters got very much angry with the act of Manjunath but heaved a great sigh when they came to know the major train accident he has avoided. He has showed them the faulty track which may have casued the train to derail from the track. They felt very much happy with the brave attitude of Manjunath offered a reward to him.
