Nagrota-J&K, December 31( Vijay Kumar) –Jammu & Kashmir National Conference – Congress coalition government led by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has underlined fast track development of rural areas as one of the top concerns of the government and is committed to the equitable development of all areas of state,said Devender Singh Rana the Political Advisor to Chief Minister.
Devender Singh Rana who was addressing a public meeting at Kheri in Nagrota Assembly constituency here today said the Chief Minister has already unfolded a blue print of equitable and all round development of the state in which rural, backward and underdeveloped areas have been highlighted as focused areas.
He said that the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah is determined to change the development scenario of the state to bridge the gap between rural and urban areas on the economic front and carry forward development process to every nook and corner of the state. He said administration has already been sanitized to be responsible and prompt to the public needs so that development schemes launched are successfully implemented. He said various developmental schemes have already been put in place in the state in this direction.
He said the Chief Minister has identified five important sectors of road communication, water supply, health, power and education for focused attention. “These are the sectors concerning the general public especially in rural and backward areas as such receive priority attention”.
Chief Minister’s Political Advisor said that he has taken note of all the development demands of Kheri and its adjacent villages, adding that the development requirements of these areas would be taken up with the concerned departments for formulating schemes so that people’s grievances are redressed.
Rana said that for the first time in the history of the state a comprehensive policy for youth has been launched by the Chief Minister. He said the innovative Sher-e-Kashmir Employment and Welfare Programme for Youth will prove highly beneficial for the educated, skilled and non-skilled persons to earn their livelihood in a dignified manner.He also informed that the state Police Department is initiating special recruitment drive for the unemployed youths in backward and remote areas and the qualification bar in this special recruitment drive will be middle pass.

Addressing the meeting Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President J&K said National Conference, Jammu province said National Conference has always stood for the cause of general people will continue to fight for the cause of the people of the state especially the down trodden and far flung areas. He appealed the people to strengthen the party at all levels so that state marched a head on road to progress under the dynamic leadership of Omar Abdullah.
Referring to the holding of Panchayat Elections, Gupta said this will provide ample opportunity to the public representatives at panchayat level to make decisions for the development and progress of their areas. He said the restoration of Panchayat Raj in the state would help in a big way to carry forward development plans successfully by involving the public at grass-root.
