I’ve been asked in my life if I fear God? No, I don’t fear God because I believe in and have accepted Him into my life and I try to obey His word and to live accordingly.
If I was a person who did not believe in or know God and I was living a life of sin and immoral conduct, then I definitely would be afraid of Him. It tells us in the Holy Bible (Leviticus 25: 17), "You shall not therefore oppress one another, but you shall fear your God: for I am the Lord your God."
People who are Christians realize that God is their Lord and when they follow and abide His word, respect His authority, and have a fear for committing sins and living an immoral life, they have "no" reason whatsoever to fear God.
God doesn’t want people to "fear" Him but He wants them to "love" Him and to accept Him into their lives. The Bible tells people in Deuteronomy 6: 2, "That you must fear the Lord your God, to keep all His statues and commandments, which I command of you, you, and your son, and your son’s son, all the days of your life: and that your days may be prolonged."
It also tells people in the Bible in Deuteronomy 6: 5, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might."
When people follow God’s word and they know that they love Him and are abiding by His word, this releases them from all their fears of God because they realize His love for them.
God is a gracious God and when people commit a sin and they’ve asked for forgiveness, He reaches out and erases the sin from their hearts and souls. People should not live a life of consistent sinning on a daily basis and turning to God repeatedly for forgiveness of their sins because God expects them to go but to "sin" no more.
God hates the sin in people’s lives and His desires are for us to live according to His word. People serve a powerful and a caring God and He wants to be a part of their lives and to be there when people needs Him.
God is also people’s God of Judgment and He knows all of their sins and wrong-doings. He is love, understanding, and a caring God, and He is waiting with open arms for all sinners to come and to accept Him into their lives through the confession of their sins. God doesn’t turn His welcoming arms from anyone who earnestly wants to accept Him and live for Him.
I’ve been asked this question and I want to ask other people the question too, do they have a fear of God? This question has been posed to many people throughout the world and many of the answers are amazing. There’s "no" reason to fear God if people know Him, it’s simple to rid any fear a person might have of God by accepting Him into their lives.
Here are a few more Bible verses they’ll help people to understand the importance of God’s love and why some do fear Him:
Acts 10: 35 – "But in every nation He that fear Him, and work righteousness, is accepted with Him."
Malachi 4: 2 – "But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of Righteousness arise with healing in His wings."
Psalm 34: 7 – "The angel of the Lord encamps round about them that fear Him, and delivers them."
Psalm 67: 7 – "God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear Him."
