Jammu, March 29, (Scoop News)- With the growing popularity of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and wide-spread anger and resentment against the Congress-led UPA, attempts are being made to attack Modi using undemocratic and unsocial language. This was stated by BJP leader & former senior police officer Farooq Khan, while condemning the utterances made by Congress candidate from Saharanpur Imran Masood in a press conference at party headquarters on Saturday.
Farooq Khan said that it has been routine practice in Congress to indulge in communalizing the politics to mislead and seek the votes of Muslims in particular. He said that whatever Imran Masood said in open against Narendra Modi is not just by chance. It is part of the Congress’ strategy to paint BJP and Narendra Modi as anti-Muslims and its leaders have been making such communally motivated provocative statements from time to time. Even the National President of Congress Sonia Gandhi had used the phrase “Merchant of death” (Maut ka Saudagar) for Narendra Modi. Repeated and baseless allegations against Narendra Modi are also the reflection of the frustration among the entire leadership of Congress, which is fearing its defeat in the forthcoming Lok Sabha election.
Farooq Khan said that time and again all the allegations against Narendra Modi have come out to be false and baseless. Even the highest courts have given clean chit to Modi and the Congress cannot digest the same as it want to arouse the sentiments of Muslims and get their votes. The Congress should now come out of day dreaming and accept that the people across the country, including Muslims, have made up their mind to see Narendra Modi as next Prime Minister of India. As the Muslims have realized that the Congress, Samajwadi Party, Janata Dal have only used them for vote bank politics and did nothing for their upliftment and welfare, today a very popular slogan among this community is getting overwhelming response which is “Muslim for Modi, Modi for Muslim”.
Speaking on the motive to work for BJP, Farooq Khan said that as a police officer “I was on duty for country’s unity and security of the people of J&K”. Now after retirement I wish to serve the motherland with same nationalist ideology and “I found BJP as a true nationalist political party with very clear principles based on the zeal to work for nation and strengthen the social fabric”, he said.
Political Advisor to State President Prof. Hari Om and State Press Secretary Balbir Ram Rattan were also present in the press conference.
