Senate Select Intelligence Committee Chairwoman is thought to have voted in favor of arming Syrian rebels (I means ISIS). Imagine my surprise when I read her condemnation of the terrorist group who beheaded reporter James Foley. Doesn’t she realize these are the same guys?
Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) on August 20, 2014 released the following statement on the murder of James Foley by ISIL:
“The gruesome murder of James Foley and the continued acts of terror by ISIL must be met with very serious consequences by the international community. The video leaves absolutely no doubt that ISIL is committed to attacking Americans and our allies.
“We must continue to provide our support to the new Iraqi government once it is formed and help solidify gains by Iraqi and Kurdish forces. Countering ISIL will demand coordinated and sustained action by Iraq, the United States and the international community. Only then can we reverse ISIL’s rise and eliminate this very dangerous terrorist threat.”

Note: As Chairwoman of the Senate Select Intelligence Committee which endorsed and supported the Obama administration’s controversial plan to funnel arms to Syrian rebels fighting the regime of President Bashar al-Assad – I find it totally odd that Senator Feinstein would issue this statement.
Which other members voted for or against this measure remain hidden from the public under the label of “classified” information.
“Classification can be a convenient pretext for avoiding difficult questions,” said Steven Aftergood, the director of the Federation of American Scientists’ Project on Government Secrecy.
