Felicia "Snoop" Pearson, a star of HBO’s The Wire, was arrested at her Baltimore home and charged with possession of drugs yesterday.
Police entered Felicia "Snoop" Pearson’s home to serve a "body attachment" warrant related to her testimony in the Baltimore murder case of Steven James Lashley. The warrant allows authorities to detain noncompliant witnesses until they can testify in court. Pearson was a witness to a 2005 stabbing murder but said she does not want to have anything to do with the case.
While police were serving the warrant, they found two cigars filled with marijuana and "loose plant material."
Felicia "Snoop" Pearson, 28, had a troubled young life before a role on the hit television series The Wire helped her turn her life around. She was addicted to drugs as a teenager and convicted of second-degree murder at age 16. She served an eight-year prison sentence and found her way back into drug dealing upon her release. It wasn’t until HBO spotted her in a nightclub and cast her as a killer on The Wire that she left her dangerous ways.
