Peshawar: A female suicide bomber blew herself on Warsak road killing herself and wounding a number of people on Tuesday.
Peshawar police confirmed it was a female suicide attack and the bomber was aged between 30 and 40.
The wounded persons were shifted to the nearest hospitals where their condition is not known.
The police said that the bomber, wrapped in a shuttle-cock burqa, wanted to attack on a military check post. Heading towards the check post, she was stopped after she blew herself.
Police say that none of the soldiers or police was killed in the incident.
In November, a suicide bomber blew himself on the door of former Federal Minister Amir Muqam’s house killing four people and wounding five others. One of the injured, former Member of Parliament Pir Mohammad Khan was later passed at hospital.
