Jammu, March 12, (Scoop News)- BJP Mahila Morcha State President Priya Sethi said that the females have been the worst sufferers during the rule of Congress-led UPA-1 and UPA-2 as the crime against women has been all time high. The Congress has a women Sonia Gandhi as its National President as well as Congress-led UPA has same Sonia Gandhi as its Chairperson but unfortunately no sincere efforts have ever been made to ensure safety and security of women and check crime against them.
Priya Sethi was addressing a meeting of prominent Mahila Morcha office bearers of different districts of Jammu province. BJP State General Secretary & overall Incharge for election campaign and management Kavinder Gupta also chaired a meeting.
Priya said that on the other hand, the BJP has granted reservation to women in its organizational setup and stands committed for their political empowerment and hence it is only BJP which deserve the vote of women. She expressed hope that the Mahila Morcha activists will fan out in their respective areas to garner the support of female voters to achieve the mission of seeing Narendra Modi as next Prime Minister of India.
Kavinder Gupta, while addressing the meeting, said that the coming days are very crucial for each of us and we all should devote more time in view of the general elections so that BJP achieves its target of winning 272+ seats in the Lok Sabha. As far J&K, we are contesting in all the three regions and this time BJP is going to create history by registering victory in maximum seats. He appealed the morcha activists to educate the women about the mis-governance, corruption, price-rise, unemployment etc. and ensure their vote and support for BJP.
Threadbare discussions were held on adopting strategy to mobilize the women in particular in entire length and breadth of the state. The participants were also provided detailed information related to Mission 2014, volunteers for mission 272+, Ek Note Kamal Par Vote, Chai Pe Charcha and use of traditional as well as latest means of communication to reach the voters in far-flung and remote areas.
Anuradha Charak, Anju Dogra, Kamla Gupta, Santosh Bhagat, Sonia Gupta, Monika Khosla, Pushpa Wazir, Neelam Nargotra, Bimla Padha, Sanjita Gupta, Neeru Anand, Usha Sharma, Parveen Arora, Rama Sharma, Dr. Monika Sharma, Sunita Thakur, Urmil Razdan, Kiran Slathia, Suresh Rani and others attended this meeting.
