As expected Ferrari duo made an excellent start at the Turkish Grand Prix. Felipe Massa lead the race followed by team mate Kimi Raikkonen from the beginning till the end. Both the Ferraris started on soft tyres. Ferraris having an advantage of 19 seconds over 3rd placed Alonso at the end of 50 laps and after seond round of pit stops. Ferraris continued on soft tyres after the first round pit stops and shifted to harder compound after 2nd pit. Massa finished the race 2.2 seconds ahead of Kimi.
Alonso took the third place. Alonso who had dropped to sixth place at the start regained the position and then gained from Hamiltons puncture. Hedfeld in BMW finished in 4th and Hamilton in 5th place.
Hamilton puntured the tyre just before 2nd pit stop. And limped to pit losing 2 positions to 5th.
Kovalainen in 6th place. Roseberg, Kubica, Fisichella and Coultard occupy the remaining top ten places in the 58 lap race.
Ferrari completes 1-2 as expected, cutting the Maclaren Lead to just 11. Massa completing double at Turkey has now 69 points while Kimi has 68 points. Hamilton on 84 points still leads the championship but Alonso reduced the gap to just 5.
