On Thursday militants attacked a police station and army camp in Kathua District of Jammu region killing four policemen two civilians and 6 military men. The militant attack on Hiranagar police station has come before three days of the meeting between Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Pakistan counterpart Nawaz Sharif in New York
According to reliable sources the militants in Indian military uniform attacked the Hiranagar police station in Kathua district early Thursday morning and highjacked one truck from police station to intrude in Samba army camp.
On Thursday morning., three militants in an auto-rikshaw came to attack the police station AT 5.45 A.M. These terrorists had stolen a truck from inside the Hira Nagar police station after carrying out the terror attack and have moved out to army camp Samba before abandoning that stolen truck.
After moving out in the stolen truck on the Pathankote-Jammu highway and after killing the truck conductor , the militants now started firing at Samba town on the highway.
The entire area and traffic on the Pathankote-Jammu highway has been stopped.The area has been cordoned and operation is continuing. The fidayeen are still inside army camp.
Reportedly two militants have been killed. The firing and search operations are still going on. More military and para-military and air -force men have been called for search operations.
These attacks come when Indo-Pak dialogue is in offing.
