LexisOne to replace multiple systems at the firm delivering a unified business environment across nine offices
LONDON, UK, 28 May 2015 – LexisNexis® Enterprise Solutions, a provider of technology solutions to professional services firms, today announced that Fieldfisher, a multinational law firm with turnover in excess of £100 million, has selected LexisOne™, its enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution, as the firm’s core technology platform. The solution will underpin the business to create a unified business environment across the firm’s nine offices in Brussels, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, London, Manchester, Munich, Silicon Valley, Paris and Shanghai. Over 800 employees including more than 400 lawyers and 160 partners will use the solution when fully deployed.
LexisOne will replace multiple business systems at the firm, providing a fully integrated suite of applications including matter planning; time, travel and expense processing; billing; procurement; purchase; general ledger and legal accounting; business intelligence and asset management and human resource management. LexisOne will also seamlessly integrate with Lexis® InterAction®, Fieldfisher’s preferred CRM system, to enable the firm to deliver a distinctive client experience. Cumulatively, all this will contribute towards a highly efficient business operation. Through eliminating the need for multiple technology systems, LexisOne will significantly reduce the cost of ownership of technology at Fieldfisher as well as the complexity of its maintenance.
Following a rigorous selection process, Fieldfisher chose LexisOne for its ERP capability that traditional practice management systems aren’t able to offer. The solution provides legal and business level capability for modern law firms, it’s built on the proven Microsoft Dynamics AX® platform; and has a well-defined product development roadmap for the future. All this swung Fieldfisher’s decision in LexisOne’s favour.
“We work across a number of jurisdictions and having different systems operating in different offices defies business logic,” Mike Giles, Finance Director at Fieldfisher explained. “LexisOne will give us a single, integrated system across the firm and allow us to introduce best practice processes in all our offices. This approach will improve our ability to deliver consistently excellent service to our clients whilst at the same time providing better systems and business information to meet the needs of the business leading to improvements in overall efficiency. Ultimately, I see LexisOne helping us to become a more connected firm providing a single view of the business, which is critical in the current competitive environment.”
LexisNexis will drive the implementation of LexisOne at Fieldfisher with the support of Hitachi Solutions, the company’s global deployment partner for large scale projects. A Microsoft Dynamics AX Partner of the Year for 2014, Hitachi Solutions, has extensive experience and expertise in delivering Dynamics AX projects to professional services firms worldwide.
“LexisOne will serve as a solid and reliable foundation upon which the firm can execute its strategy while providing the flexibility and agility to adapt to changing market conditions globally,” Andy Sparkes, General Manager, LexisNexis Enterprise Solutions said. “The solution will allow the firm to adopt standardised best practice processes, which are so important for an organisation of the size that Fieldfisher is. At the same time, the firm will be able to deliver a service that meets the express needs of the individual geographies.”
