The White House on Monday condemned recent missile and barrel bomb attacks on civilians by the Syrian government.
“The attacks over the weekend killed more than 300 people, many of them children,” White House spokesman Jay Carney said in a statement. He added that Syrian forces were using Scud missiles and barrel bombs in and around Aleppo.
“The Syrian government must fulfill its November commitment to do more to facilitate the safe and unhindered delivery of humanitarian assistance, so that millions of Syrian men, women, and children have access to urgently needed services,” Carney said.

The barrel bombs are basically oil drums packed with explosives, nails and other shrapnel.
They are dropped by helicopters for use against U.S. backed al-Qaeda and al-Nusra terrorists factions who are using civilians as human shields in many cases.
The state-run Syrian Arab News Agency said Monday that the government was continuing to obliterate “terrorists’ dens.”
The White House has refused to say anything about the numerous car bombs and village massacres committed by it’s proxy al Qaeda army. Which is shameful hypocrisy.
In Britain the foreign secretary echoed Washington’s one sided concerns, while refusing to admit Aleppo is currently controlled by terrorist factions, including al-Nusra who are refusing in many instances to allow civilians to flee certain areas:
“I condemn the use of brutal and indiscriminate weapons in densely-populated civilian areas, such as we have seen in Aleppo in recent days”, said William Hague, Britain’s foreign secretary, in a statement.

Meanwhile Syrian government forces were mainly firing rockets and heavy mortars at the rebel-held neighborhoods of Old Homs, Khaldiya, Qusour and Jouret el-Shayah, according to reports on the ground.
Which are absolutely devastating the armed opposition groups, who last week claimed they were within grasp of military control of the entire country (see report: https://groundreport.com/al-qaeda-faction-to-the-point-of-almost-declaring-military-victory-in-syria/).
Syrian military had been shelling the neighborhood of Sakhour in Aleppo as government forces on the ground engage in intense running gun battles with heavily armed terrorists in the country’s largest city.
State-run Syrian TV said that government forces have thus far “cleansed Sakhour of terrorists and mercenaries”. Thousands have been reported killed.
The official news agency said troops had inflicted “very heavy losses on the terrorists” in Aleppo, while “fleeing terrorists are being pursued and … their hide-outs are being raided.”
Over 200,000 civilians are reported to have fled the area, as terrorists continue to lose control of the area.
