Filmmaker sexually abuses 16 boys

A man who posed as a documentary filmmaker deceived teachers and parents to sexually abuse 16 boys of an upper primary school in Alleppey district of Kerala.

The shameful episode continued over a period of one month involving Class VII students of the Government Upper Primary School in Naluchira. Nobody checked the identity of the man, but the students were allowed to meet him, separately, in his hotel room when he was alone. After a month, he has now vanished, leaving a shocking tale of deceit and negligence.

The incident as told by officials is as follows: On January 9, the accused came to the school introducing himself as Biju, a documentary filmmaker. The headmaster was absent and he talked to the teacher in-charge about his plan to make a documentary.

He left his mobile number with some students and asked them to talk to him through their parents if they wanted to act. He managed to convince the teachers and the parents and when the headmaster returned, he even made him arrange a gathering of students where he could choose his preys in the guise of giving them roles.

One of the teachers even gave him his vacant house for work.As if enacting a script, Biju arranged a function to mark the start of shooting. He then called the boys separately to the house and to his lodge where he sexually abused them.

The incident came to light when a suspicious teacher quizzed one of the boys noticing a change in his behaviour. The boy spilled the beans, but by then the accused too had got the clue and vanished.

The police has no other proof about him except his name and a side glimpse in a CD of the function.
