District Government Polo Cup tournament launched at Polo Ground Chitral.
CHITRAL: The first District Government Polo Cup tournament inaugurated here at Polo Ground Chitral. District Coordination Officer Chitral Mutasim Billah was chief guest on the occasion while Tehsil Nazim Chitral Sartaj Ahmad Khan was also present on the occasion who play vital role in launching this polo cup tournament. Some 34 polo teams will participate in this polo cup tournament and successful teams would be detailed for Shundor polo festival. On inauguration ceremony two matches played between four polo teams. The first polo match was played between Chitral Scouts Polo Team and Kosh (Sib Division Mastuj Red ) Polo team. In which Chitral Scouts defeated its rival team with 11 goals than 3 goals. According to score board Chitral Scouts scored 11 goals while Kosht team scored only 3 goal.
The second match on first day of the tournament was played between Sub Division Mastuj A team and Booni Red Polo Team. Sub Division Mastuj defeated Booni Red tem with 7 goals than 1 only. Score board show that Mastuj team scored 7 goals while Booni red team scored only 1 goal. A large number of spectators were present in polo ground Chitral to watch the match.
