First Local Govt.Election Result Was Announced

The first Local Government Elections Result of the Local Government Poll conducted today was released short while ago.

The result of the Weligama Urban Council in the District of Matara (Southern Province) was out and according to the result the Governing United Peoples Freedom Alliance(UPFA) has received 7246 votes with 7 of the Urban Council seats and the Main Opposition the United National Party(UNP) secured 3622 votes with 3 seats.
