Five of family dies in Upper reaches of Zogimarg in J&K

Srinagar,India, April, 23 (Scoop News) – Five of family including two children died and nearly 150 livestock perished due to sever cold and snow fall at Zogimarg. Police has rescued 17 families and there livestock from the top.

          Police said that Five family members namely Geenoo Jan 60, son of Lal-ud-Din Bajad, Mst. Maiwa Begum, 58, wife of Geenoo Jan, Mst. Kali Begum 38, daughter of Farooq Ahmad Bajad, Najma 6, daughter of Farooq Bajad, Saleema 2, daughter of Farooq Bajad residents of Choki Chori Reasi and 150 sheep/goats died due to sever cold and snow fall at Zogimarg, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Damhal Hanjipora, Kulgam on 21.04.2010.

Police party rushed to spot and saved 17 family members including eight children along with 350 sheep/goats. The bodies of the deceased could not lifted from spot due to heavy rains.
