At least 40 people were injured as blasts rocked New Delhi on Saturday (September 13), police said. Four separate blasts hit the teeming city, within minutes of each other, injuring weekend shoppers, a Delhi police spokesman said.
The first blast took place at Ghaffar market in which at least 20 people were injured. The explosion happened at 6:15 PM in an auto rickshaw, which is famous for sale of foreign goods, in the evening. The injured were rushed to nearby RML hospital.
Immediately after that, two explosions took place in Connaught Place area in which at least 10 people were injured. Another explosion rocked M-Block market in south Delhi’s posh Greater Kailash-I. The nature of explosion was yet to be ascertained, police said.
