Poetry From The Heart
Cracks in a heart cannot be glued or cemented
they hurt and pain from spilling and sealing.
Chinks are forever engraved in the core
they’re tender from rupture and forever sore.
Ache as pains from a leech cleaving to a heart
rips and tears and wants to release and depart.
Cracks in a heart cannot be patched or bonded
wounds remain raw and they yen to be pricked.
Time bores fissures from anxiety and stress
never allows a person to relax and to rest.
Every day crevices inch into a gradual split
until flaws grow and increase bit by bit.
Cracks in a heart cannot be healed and freed
didn’t happen overnight, it was earned and achieved.
There’s no cure for the faults contained within
a person must accept them and try for a win.
Never dwell on damages and stings of prior years
instead pace yourself to take a day to release fears.
Cracks in a heart cannot be glued or cemented…
