Flood affected of Mozgoal sought Govt help

Flood affected of Mozgoal still waiting for Government help for rehabilitation.

CHITRAL:  Flood affected of Mozgoal village who livings in barren land of Qaqlasht still waiting government help for rehabilitation. Talking to local media persons Ghulam Sarwar a retired junior commission officer of Chitral Scouts and other said that flood damaged Mozgoal village completely in the last week of July of this year. As a result they were shifted to Qaqlasht ground where is their own property but there is acute shortage of drinking water, health facilities as well as school going children were also deprived from their education.

Some small girls were seen who were carrying drinking water from a far flung areas in pitches on their head. Rubina of class 6th said that she was going to school but after damaging of their house (village) and their school now she is living in this temporary tent with her parents and cannot go to school. Perhaps she will not became  a doctor in future as she dreamed she told with sorrowful words.

Another old woman Rukhsana  who was cooking food in a tent kitchen said that due to dropping of rain water she face great problems during cooking food for her small kids. She said that there is no facilities in this relief camp especially women folk facing great hardships due to no washroom in the camp. Tehsil Municipal Administration carrying water in fire brigade after 5 days which is not sufficient for 68 affected families which are also not hygienically clean.

Flood affected of Moxzgoal complained that despite of promises by Prime Minister and Chief Minister they still sought for financial support for their rehabilitation. They appeal to prime minister and chief Minister KP  for financial support to re-construct their damaged houses before snowfall. They said that snowfall will be start in the middle of November and it is very difficult to live in these tents without heating, electricity and other facilities.

Flood affected warned that if they were not supported financially for reconstruction of their houses they will be compelled to came on roads as protest.
