flood and Earthquake affected protested for remittance of agricultural loans

CHITRAL: A large number of flood and earthquake affected peacefully agitated and protested in front of Zari Tarqiati bank (Agricultural development Bank) Chitral chanting slogan for remittance of loans.
In this connection a public meeting was also held under the chair of former Nazim Shokoor Muhammad. Addressing to the protest rally and sit in the flood and earthquake affected said that during the visit of Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif last year he announced for compensation of 500000 each whose houses were fully damaged and he also announced for remittance of agricultural loans.
They said that very less number of affected were compensated only 200000 instead of 500000 and Zari Tarqiati bank still harassing them and insisting for returning of their loan. Shokor Muhammad, and former MPA and president of PML (N) Saeed Ahmad Khan and other said that PM Nawaz Sharif had already announced for remittance of loans got from ZTB but its notification is still not issued.
In this connection when this scribe meet Manager of ZTB he confirmed that they have not received any notification from head office and that is why they still demanding for returning of these loans. He said until we not receive any notification in this regard we can not remit these loans.
A farmer said that they had got loans from ZTB for agriculture purposes but their land were washed away by flood and their standing crops including cultivable land were destroyed by natural disaster as well as their houses were also ruined by heavy earthquake. They have nothing to pay to ZTB.
Flood and earthquake affected demanded from PM Nawaz Sharif for issuing of notification of remittance of these agricultural loans immediately so as they will not be disturbed by local police on directive of Bank staff.
They also demanded for remittance of salary advances to government servants.
