Peshawar: the government release the third installment of flood effected people but they despaired and returned to home in Peshawar.
The government releases the third installment of flood effectees. The victim of flood hold watan cards in their hands in front of different banks in the busiest Market of Peshawar sadar Market.
The flood effectees can easily take cash money from banks but they despaired, because in Sadar Market the banks ATMs were damaged so they move to the interior city for their third installment. But they also despaired from interior city because some banks staff said them they don’t have cash yet while some banks closed early. Majority of flood effectees did not take their money from banks and retured despaired.
National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) developed a transparent programme and established 131 watan card facilitation centers (WCFC) throughout the effected districts.
It is also be mentioned that July, 2010 flood in Pakistan were a disaster of unprecedented scale, effected 80 districts and nearly 10% of Pakistan population of about18 million people over a vast geographical area. Flood destroyed approximately 1.6 million homes and damaged 2.4 million hectares of cops.
